Cupped hands symbolize awaiting and accepting gifts of the divine. A cradling of all that is precious. Three feathers ~ unexpected gifts from nature, a reflection of writing tools from days past, and always remembering “With his pinions he will cover you and under his wings you shall take refuge…” ref. Psalms 91:4

What's In A Name

Often it has been asked, “What’s the story behind Augusta Win?” Not wanting to disappoint interested parties, I will divulge my secret. My maternal great Aunt, an Irish gal, was named Augusta. I first learned about Augusta while looking through an old book of black and white photographs of my aunt Alma’s. Augusta was wearing a big hat and I incidentally love big hats. She had passed away long before I landed on earth. Winifred was my mother. She was my first teacher and guide. I always wanted to name a daughter Augusta Win. When the cosmos had other plans, Augusta Win Publishing was born January 1, 2005. A name to honor the memory and guiding spirits of two strong women
